Certification
The Society of Aesthetic Surgery is an association of plastic surgeons who primarily specialise in the treatment of aesthetic problems associated with body image and shape.
The scientific interest of the Society lies in having exclusive competence in the given field and, therefore, it aims to assure the provision of quality care and surgical performance by qualified surgeons. For this reason, only plastic surgeons who have passed a respective qualification examination can become members of the Society. Co-operation with other disciplines is not disregarded, since the Society belongs to the Czech Medical Association of Jan Evangelista Purkyne (CLS JEP), connecting all medical fields.
Regularly organized training events and scientific meetings further aid in the upgrading of surgeons’ qualifications and serve to increase the exchange of knowledge and experience at an international level.
The Society also has active links to international organizations with similar interests, e.g. ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and IPRAS (International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery).
Certification represents a high level of expertise, and is awarded only to surgeons with guaranteed competence. A certified aesthetic surgeon is a qualified plastic surgeon and member of the Society of Aesthetic Surgery, who continuously performs interventions in aesthetic surgery and is involved in the system of life-long continuing education in aesthetic surgery.
