About the Society
Certification by the Czech Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
To become a certified aesthetic surgeon, one has to be a plastic surgeon who has passed the respective qualification examination, who is a member of the Society of Aesthetic Surgery and complies with further membership requirements, who continuously performs interventions in aesthetic surgery, and who is involved in the system of life-long continuing education in aesthetic surgery.
Certificate requirements:
- Achievement of the qualification examination in plastic surgery
- At least three years of experience following the achievement of the qualification examination in plastic surgery, and in any case not less than 10 years following graduation from medical school.
- 3. Documentation of a sufficient number of autonomously performed operations in aesthetic surgery, of which the minimal numbers of respective operations are listed below. The documentation is done in the form of a statutory declaration substantiated with a patient name list for respective diagnoses. The guarantor is entitled to check this evidence.
- Approvals by two guarantors, selected by the applicants themselves. Both must be certified aesthetic surgeons and one must be a Society committee member.
- Acceptance of the Code of Ethics of the Society of Aesthetic Surgery, which is enclosed.

Moreover, certification by the Society assumes continuous education in the form of training courses run by the Society, the Czech Medical Chamber (CLK), and the Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education (IPVZ) (at least once a year), scientific meetings (at least once every two years), and international events (at least once every four years).
